Deryn grew up in Jersey and trained at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Medical School in London where she qualified in 2001. Her first medical appointment was at the General Hospital and she has also spent time doing Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Jersey. She has worked in New Zealand and completed her GP training in Cambridgeshire. She moved back to Jersey in 2014 and now does 2 sessions a week at Castle Quay but also works for the Police as a Forensic Medical Examiner. Her special interests include women’s health and she fits coils and implants. She has 3 children, a daughter and identical twin boys, and if this wasn’t enough to keep her busy, the family has 2 black labradors which love going for runs.
